UF Childhood Cancer Researchers Receive $250,000 Grant from Hyundai (9/26/2012)

Please plan on attending the Hyundai Hope on Wheels To Award $250,000 Grant to UF team of Childhood Cancer Researchers – Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 11:00 am.

Hyundai Hope On Wheels and Gainesville-area Hyundai dealers will award University of Florida cancer researcher Wesley E. Bolch, Ph.D., a 2012 Hyundai Hope Grant to support his childhood cancer research.

The $250,000 grant will be presented Sept. 26 to Bolch at a Handprint Ceremony at the Shands Hospital for Children at the University of Florida. At the event, young cancer patients will place their handprints on a white 2012 Hyundai Tucson to commemorate their brave battles with cancer.

Bolch is a professor in the UF departments of nuclear and radiological engineering and biomedical engineering, and a member of the UF Shands Cancer Center. His research focuses on bone tumors in pediatric patients.
