Pediatric Medical Student Research Forum
September 2-3, 2016 – Labor Day Weekend (Friday-Saturday)
We look forward to learning about your important discoveries!
We are pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Pediatric Research Forum for Medical Students sponsored by the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FCAAP), the University of Florida Department of Pediatrics and Boston Children’s Hospital, and the National Institute of Human Health and Development (NICHD).
Pediatrics is an ever-changing field of discovery and innovation. Today’s research will lead to tomorrow’s cures. This is an exciting opportunity to share your research with your peers. Open to all medical students in the United States, this meeting will take place in conjunction with the annual meeting of the FCAAP, which students are also welcome to attend.
Platform and poster presentations will be available for basic-science, translational or clinical research, and case reports. Cash prizes will be given for the top platform and poster presentations: $500 for 1st; $250 for 2nd; and $100 for 3rd.
YOU ARE WELCOME TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK IF IT HAS BEEN PUBLISHED OR PRESENTED BEFORE, OR REPRESENTS RECENT FINDINGS.
You do not have to present in order to attend the event. The event is open to all medical students who are interested in pediatric research. In addition to student presentations, there will be a keynote speech from an inspiring internationally-renowned pediatric scientist.
There will be a keynote speech by Dr. Duane Mitchell, who is an international expert in immunotherapy for brain tumors.
