Congratulations Dr. Bucciarelli – Recipient of the Clifford G. Grulee Award

We are very proud that Richard Bucciarelli, M.D., received the  Clifford G. Grulee Award, which recognizes outstanding service to the AAP.

The award was created by the executive board in 1951 to honor Dr. Grulee upon his retirement as executive secretary. It is awarded for outstanding service to the American Academy of Pediatrics, beyond what’s required of elected leadership. The presentation to the recipient is a feature of the annual business meeting.

The Award consists of a gold medal bearing the insignia of the AAP and the inscription “Clifford G. Grulee Award” on the face of the medal, and on the obverse side the name of the recipient with the inscription “For outstanding service to the American Academy of Pediatrics.”
