ChORD Half Marathon/5K – 2015

ChORD-2014The ChORD Half Marathon/5K, benefiting the division of genetics and metabolism at the UF College of Medicine, will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015 and will start and finish at the UF Cultural Plaza Parking Lot. Funds raised from the half marathon/5K will directly benefit areas of greatest need, including nutrition education, low-protein cooking demonstrations, sibling meet-and-greet events, and scholarships for metabolic camps.

The division of genetics and metabolism provides comprehensive clinical services to children and adults referred for the evaluation of genetic disorders. The mission is to effectively teach medical genetics to students and residents at all levels of their training, to conduct clinical and molecular-based genetics research, and to provide expert clinical evaluations to patients referred to the University of Florida and its affiliated health programs.
