History: Pediatric Scholar Development Program

It is well recognized that the number of pediatricians engaged in rigorous basic, clinical or translational research has declined substantially over the past decade and that new models are needed to train the next generation of clinician scholars. The University of Florida Pediatric Scholar Development Program (UF-PSDP) was designed to provide the training and protected research time needed for the development of today’s physician scholars. The UF-PSDP also forges a link to programs that support junior faculty in our department.
