About Helen H Hu

Dr. Helen Hu is a neonatologist at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine, and went on to complete her Pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She completed her Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center. A Gainesville native, she returned to the University of Florida and joined the faculty in the division of Neonatology in 2022. Her professional interests span simulation, resuscitation, and applying human factors to the NICU for improved clinical outcomes. She is the Director of the Neonatal Simulation Program. She also serves as a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine specialist in the UF Maternal Fetal Care Program. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Hu leads an AI-driven Quality Improvement initiative targeting enhanced lactation rates at discharge, showcasing her commitment to advancing neonatal care. She is dedicated to excellent and innovative approaches in training the next generation of neonatologists and to improving the care of critically ill neonates.
